3 Ways to Go Green

Views

We are often told that we should be more green, both at home and at work. While this is something that is easy to overlook, it can be hugely beneficial, not just for the environment but for business as well. Taking on a more eco-friendly approach can be cost effective and it can improve your public image as customers see your efforts in helping the environment. So, if you’re a clothing manufacturer, how can you be more green?

#1 - Cut Down on Packaging

Packaging is often necessary for all industries, however, it is something that can have a huge impact on the environment. Cutting down on packaging can often benefit all parties as it means less packaging for you to invest in, less space is taken up during the transportation process and less waste to throw away.

#2 - Encourage the Recycling of Clothes

What happens to clothes once the owner has no use for them anymore? Unfortunately, the answer is often that they end up in a landfill. There are many ways in which this can be avoided. Charity shops, clothing banks and recycling centres are all options for unloved clothes, but many people either don’t know about all of these options or simply don’t bother with them. While this is something that is up to the consumer to do, clothing manufacturers and fashion brands can do their part to encourage their customers to recycle their unwanted garments.

#3 - Invest in a Used Machine

Used embroidery machines and used sewing machines can be just as good as the brand new models. However, by investing in one that is second hand, you can pay a fraction of the price you would pay for a new one, and you can do your bit to help the environment.

As you invest in a used machine, you save the machine from being disposed of and you effectively recycle the resources and energy that went into creating the machine in the first place.

Of course, these are just a few ways in which you can do your part to help the environment. While we can’t help you with many of them, we can help you to find a used sewing machine. We ensure that you don’t have to compromise on quality when you invest in a second-hand machine, as we recondition them and give them a full service.
